These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SnapTicker mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by SnapTicker Inc. ("SnapTicker," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Important Investment Disclaimer
SnapTicker is an informational and educational tool only. SnapTicker does not provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial institution. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Always consult a qualified professional before making investment decisions. All investments involve risk, including loss of principal.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you may use the Service only with consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Account Registration and Security
Some features require an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain and promptly update your information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts for suspected fraud, abuse, or illegal activity.

- Use automated scraping/bots to access the Service
- Transmit malware or harmful code
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
- Collect or harvest user data without consent
- Use the Service to provide investment advice to others for compensation
5. Product Scanning and AI Recognition
SnapTicker may allow you to capture an image using your device camera or select an image from your photo library to identify a product, brand, or logo and determine the associated publicly traded company.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Recognition accuracy can vary and is not guaranteed
- Not all products or brands will be recognized
- Company/ticker associations may change over time
- You should verify results using reliable sources
Images submitted for recognition may be processed by third-party AI providers (currently, Google Gemini) solely to perform recognition. SnapTicker does not retain raw images after processing for recognition.
6. Market Data and Third-Party Data Sources
The Service may display market prices, company information, and other financial data sourced from third-party providers (for example, Finnhub) and may include data that is delayed or unavailable.
We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data. Data is provided "as is" and you agree not to rely solely on this information for trading or investment decisions.
7. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services, including brokerages and external websites. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, practices, or transactions you engage in with third parties.
8. Subscriptions and Payments
SnapTicker may offer free and paid subscription tiers. Paid features, when offered, may include additional scans, enhanced insights, or other premium functionality.
If you purchase a subscription:
- Purchases are processed through Apple App Store and/or Google Play
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before renewal
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your app store account settings
- Refunds are handled according to Apple/Google policies
We may change subscription offerings and pricing at any time, subject to applicable law and platform requirements.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by SnapTicker or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
10. User Content
You may submit limited content through the Service (for example, watchlists, feedback, or notes). You retain ownership of your content, but you grant SnapTicker a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
You represent you have the rights to submit content and that it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that results will be accurate.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPTICKER AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SnapTicker and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.
14. Account Deletion and Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app's account settings. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for violations of these Terms or suspected fraud or abuse.
Certain provisions of these Terms survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution.
15. Dispute Resolution; Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms and revise the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
